Privacy

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and the National Privacy Principles (NPP’s) which came into effect on 21 December 2001. As part of our commitment to our clients and staff, we have developed this Privacy Statement in order to comply with the NPP’s and Privacy Amendment Act. All staff members have a duty to protect the privacy of personal information. Strict policies provide staff with guidelines for collection, storage, use and disclosure of personal information.

The NPP’s govern the following:

  • Collection, use and disclosure of personal information or an opinion that can identify a person
  • Transfer of personal information overseas
  • Accuracy and security of personal information
  • Adoption, use and disclosure of identification numbers assigned by the Commonwealth Government

Data Security

We will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds. Our staff are required to respect the confidentiality of personal information and the privacy of individuals. We take reasonable steps to protect against the loss, misuse and/or alteration of the personal information under our control, for example by the use of physical security, information destruction devices and the restriction of access to and the modification of electronic records. Where we no longer require your personal information for a permitted purpose, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify the information.

Refund Policy

Should you have any issues with your fees, DFK Gooding Partners strongly encourages you to raise this with your client manager prior to payment as we do not issue refunds.
