We believe in giving back to, and supporting local and national charities and community causes, through means that provide the greatest social impact.

Since founding, community impact has always been an important part of our firm and our culture. From staff volunteering, voluntary board positions, mentoring and financial donations, DFK Gooding Partners is proud to actively engage with and offer fundraising support for the following charities and social enterprises:

DFK Gooding Partners has proudly supported Ronald McDonald House Charities since 2009. Stephen Bushell has been a previous Treasurer and Director at the Ronald McDonald House Charities WA Chapter.

RMHC has a wide range of programs to help seriously ill children and their families across Australia, all focused on making the journey to recovery as easy as possible. You can find out more here about their programs, their team, the families they help and how you can help assist more families who need it.

DFK Gooding Partners are proud sponsors of Assistance Dogs Australia, a charity which has been providing a free service to people with physical disabilities since 1996.

Assistance Dogs are not specifically trained to assist those with visual impairment, but trained to perform everyday tasks for people living with a wide range of disabilities.

DFK Gooding Partners has proudly supported the Redcross Lifeblood Campaign for well over 15 years. We encourage our team to get involved by offering a quarterly group booking to donate blood. This year alone we’ve saved 36 lives through Lifeblood Team Donations

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE PERTH

Home for Dinner Program

Volunteering for Home for Dinner means spending the afternoon and evening learning about RMHC and cooking the evening meal for the RMH cafeteria that serves the families staying at Ronald McDonald House Nedlands and Perth Children’s Hospital. This could be anything from lasagne to tacos or grilled chicken with salad. All provided free of charge and warmly welcomed by the families staying at Ronald McDonald House.

To date, we have sent over 35 teams through the doors for the Home for Dinner cook for RMH Perth since our partnership began in 2009.

Supporting the growth of startups and small business innovation across WA

Since 2016, we have been a founding program partner for Plus Eight. Launched by WA’s leading technology hub Spacecubed, Plus Eight is a seed-funded accelerator program built around the objective of helping local startups go global. The program is backed by BetterLabs, Woodside, DFK Gooding Partners and a range of program partners. Since launching, Plus Eight has invested over $2M in Perth startups, and facilitated an additional $16M in follow-on investment with a $106M portfolio valuation.

Our partnership with Plus8 is centred on providing financial mentoring for program participants. This includes assisting with assisting with forecasts, budgets, cashflows, financial modelling and structuring. The partnership is managed by Partner Ben Clarkson.

We have recently been engaged as a program partner for FIPWA – an innovation ecosystem developing new products and exports to transform Western Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing industry.

FIPWA aims to drive a billion-dollar boost to Western Australia by enabling up to $330 million in the food and beverage sector, and another $737 million into the wider economy over the next five years.
