Usually, New Years resolutions go something like…

  • I will lose weight
  • I will start exercising more
  • I will find more time to spend with my friends and family

Sometimes those resolutions are successful; other times maybe not so much. What about this year setting some business resolutions instead, what about starting 2020 with a clear plan of your objectives? What will you personally and professionally bring to the business or workplace in 2020?

In setting your business resolutions, ask yourself:

  • What went well in 2019 that I want to leverage or take advantage of?

  • What needs to be a business priority this year?

  • If I had one skill I could bring into my business what would it be? (then develop that in yourself, in your team or resource it externally)

  • Can I manage my cash flow more efficiently?

  • How can I manage my team better?

  • How can I manage my time more effectively?

  • Does my digital presence reflect where my business should be?

  • What efficiencies could I implement to add immediate value to my work or my team?

  • How can I improve my communication skills?

Identify your top 3, write them down and build a step by step plan for your resolutions. What would it look like if your goal was achieved? How can you get there? Ensure you set smart realistic goals and review them regularly.

Could your business benefit from a strategic review? This often uncovers new opportunities to be explored and is where our deep knowledge across many industries becomes an advantage.
